Forward Plan and Key Decisions

 

The council publishes a monthly Forward Plan of key decisions that it is proposing to make over the next four months. 

The Forward Plan will be published on the fifteenth day of each month (or the nearest relevant working day) and the plan will be effective from the first working day of the following month. 

The Forward Plan will be published on the following dates:

15 March 20111 April 2011 - 31 July 2011
15 April 20111 May 2011 - 31 August 2011

Key Decisions

Key Decisions are executive decisions of the authority which are decisions of the Executive Board or an officer under delegated powers which are likely to:

  • result in Warrington Borough Council incurring expenditure, making savings or vireing £500,000 or more having regard to the local authority budget for the service or functions to which the decision relates, or 
  • be significant in terms of its effects on communities living or working within the council's area comprising two or more wards 

There is a legal requirement that all Key Decisions are published in the Forward Plan.  The Forward Plan is a programme of Key Decisions planned to be taken in the following four month period, and is updated every month.  Key Decisions may be taken by the council's Executive Board or alternatively by an officer in accordance with the council's constitution.
