Learning Disabilities - Charges for Services
In some cases the services you will receive will be provided free of charge although some people may be asked to make a contribution towards the cost of their services. To ensure that you are not asked to contribute more than you can reasonably afford to pay, we will ask you for information about your financial circumstances.
The majority of people who receive services pay only a small amount towards their care and many pay nothing at all. When we are looking at your ability to pay we will help you to make sure that you are receiving all the benefits you are entitled to.
The Government has introduced national guidelines to help councils decide how much people should pay towards their services. This guidance is called ‘Fairer Charging’.
