Children and Young People's Plan
The Children and Young People's Plan for 2009-11 has been developed by Warrington's Children and Young People's Trust following consultation with professionals, partners, parents/carers, children and young people.
In the longer term the focus of the plan is to make an impact on:
- Eradicating child poverty
- Narrowing the gap (ensuring that all children and young people have the opportunity to have good health, education and the potential to get employment regardless of where they live, their family background or their ability)
- Raising aspirations/promoting success.
The plan's key priorities for improving outcomes for children and young people are set out under the Every Child Matters areas:
- Be healthy
- Stay safe
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well-being
