The Licensing Act 2003 came into effect in 2005. All premises involved in the sale or supply of alcohol, the provision of late night refreshments or regulated entertainments need a Premises Licence or Club Premises Certificate which will be issued by the licensing authority (Warrington Borough Council).

The information contained within these pages should assist any person(s) who may wish to apply for a licence. Please be advised that the licensing authority can provide limited help to individuals, and we would suggest that independent legal advice is sought in relation to individual applications.

ONLINE PUBLIC REGISTER

The Licensing Act 2003 states that the licensing authority must provide a public register of all licences that it grants under the legislation. The link below will take you to our register where you will be able to search for and view the following licence types:

REFERENCE DOCUMENTS

In addition to the relevant application forms guidance notes prepared by the council are also available to assist applicants in making their application(s). Applicants are advised to ensure that application form's are completed fully and that all required documents are provided. Failure to do so will delay the processing of applications and incomplete applications will be returned to applicants.

LICENSING ACT 2003 APPLICATIONS RECEIVED LIST

The Licensing Authority is required to provide each week a table of applications received under the LA03. These applications are subject to any representations (objections) being submitted by an interested party which muser be received by the dates given on the table.

NOTICE OF REVIEWS

The licensing authorty has a legal obligation to notify members of the public when an application to review a licence has been received. This page outlines all premises that have been subject to a review from a responsible authority or an interested party.

 


DETERMINATION NOTICES

Each licensing application that is put before the Licensing Sub Committee for consideration must be determined at the end of this process. This page details all decisions after an application has been taken to hearing, when relevant representations were received since 2005.
