Inclusion Matters

Providers of childcare and leisure settings continue to sign up to the principles behind Inclusion Matters '... and with the support of the information and childcare team in Warrington Borough Council provisions are becoming more accessible and inclusive for all children and young people.

Inclusion Matters is a Warrington Borough Council programme that has been operating for over a year. The aim of the project is to encourage childcare and leisure providers to enhance their services and help them to develop skills within the workforce around inclusion.

If you know of a childcare (childminder) or leisure provision that would like to be part of Inclusion Matters, please let us know.

If you are looking for childcare or leisure activity for a child or young person (0 -19 yrs) with specific requirements please telephone the Families Information Service  01925 443131 and ask about Inclusion Matters.

The Inclusion Matters grants have now finished (April 2011).  Applications can no longer be submitted for personal or group grants for this project.

Although the grants have finished the ethos and the principles used within Inclusion Matters will carry on in Warrington and will be broadened to encompass equality and diversity.
