All parents/carers can need some extra support to cope with the challenges of bringing up their children.
Warrington Borough Council's parenting team offer parenting programmes that aim to give practical advice and support to families.
The parenting team work along side colleagues from across children and young people’s services and partner agencies to deliver the following evidence based parenting programmes.
Webster Stratton Incredible Years Programmes strengthen parenting skills and promote children's social, emotional, physical and academic development:
- Parent & baby programme (0-12 months)
- Toddler programme (1-3 years)
- Basic pre-school/early childhood programme (3-8 years)
The Strengthening Families Programme 10-14 (UK) works with both the parent/carer and young person aged 8-14 years to strengthen their relationship, explore ways to show love and support and learn about rules and consequences.
