Children and Young People's Partnership

    CYP Partnership logo

In July 2010 the government announced its intentions to remove the duty for local authorities to establish Children and Young People Trust Boards and produce a local Children and Young People’s Plan.

However, Warrington Children and Young People’s Trust agreed that because improving outcomes for children and young people is not the sole responsibility of any one organisation, they would reform as a local partnership, and continue to develop a joint Plan to clarify priorities and improved outcomes.

The Children and Young People’s Partnership (CYPP) brings together the organisations responsible for services for children, young people and families including health, education, childcare, schools, voluntary sector and more to make joint decisions about how services in Warrington should be designed and delivered.

The Partnership vision is that every child and young person in Warrington has the opportunity to reach their potential.  That means providing opportunities for all, with coordinated, responsive, preventative and targeted services for those who might otherwise miss those opportunities.

A new Children and Young People’s Plan 2011-14 has been developed. This document outlines the Partnership's strategic priorities that will be further developed by a number of multi-agency sub-groups.

More detailed information about the CYP Partnership in Warrington regarding membership, structure and terms of reference can be obtained from the WSCB Business and Partnership Manager.
