The Children and Young People’s Partnership have developed a new Children and Young People’s Plan for 2011 – 2014.
This new plan focusses on a narrower group of priorities and activities to ensure actions and outcomes are realistic and targeted.
Whilst partners will continue to work for all children and young people, the Partnership has agreed that the focus of the 2011-14 Children and Young People’s Plan will be based on the following key principles:
- To have a focus around those issues where the Partnership can add ‘significant collective value’
- To target vulnerable children and families who are ‘at risk’ of poorer outcomes and life chances and wherever possible focus on prevention and early intervention
- To target communities (by place or type) that have higher concentrations of need and vulnerable groups
