The commissioning unit’s role is to ensure that:
- an analyse, plan, do, review model of commissioning is developed and embedded across children and young people's services
- commissioning decisions focus on improving outcomes for children and young people
- services are fit for purpose and are regularly scrutinised and challenged
- contracts are managed effectively and outcomes for children and young people are good
- resources are allocated appropriately to secure best value for money
- the market (services and providers) is effectively managed and developed to meet the needs of children and young people in Warrington
