Objectives

• Establish a consistent and corporate approach for all scrutiny activity
• Provide clear corporate standards, advice and support on scrutiny and good practice
• Ensure that the overview & scrutiny function is accessible and open to local people, communities and businesses – giving local people the opportunity to influence decision making in Warrington
• Use the outcomes and impact of scrutiny activity to inform the Council’s decision-making process to deliver services that meet local needs.
