Health and safety - Keeping our learners safe
Warrington Borough Council's health, safety and welfare team is responsible for assisting the council to fulfil its obligations under health and safety legislation.
This includes:
- developing policies, procedures, and strategies
- providing advice, information and guidance to directorates
- carrying out inspections and audits of the workplace and work activity
- advising on the improvement of safer working and employee wellbeing to reduce the risk of accidents and ill health;
- assisting in the development of risk assessments.
The lifelong learning service is committed to Warrington Borough Council's health and safety policy and understands the learning environment presents health and safety requirements such as risk assessment, etc. The documents provded below assist partners, tutors and learners in ensuring health and safety is prioritised.
