Residents in Warrington, Cheshire, Halton and Wirral are able to use many of the public, college and University libraries in this geographical area. This is part of a national initiative called INSPIRE, and you can read more about the aims and participation by clicking on this link www.inspire2.org.uk
In Warrington, Cheshire, Halton and Wirral, the Inspire project has joined together to become Libraries for Education Access Regional Network (LEARN).
It's simple to use, and the benefits are:
- your Warrington library card is your passport to using these libraries - you need to take it with you
- you may use the books held at the library you visit and take advantage of the extended opening hours - ideal if you want to study. Please note that you will not be able to borrow the books and licensing restrictions mean you cannot use the college or university computers.
- it's advisable to ring the library you are planning to visit in advance to ensure there are no building works or examinations that might reduce availability
Details of the participating Colleges, Universities and Public Libraries can be found in the following PDF and leaflets are in local libraries.
