It’s quite easy to find and reserve an item online, simply search for what you want to request by visiting our online catalogue portal and select the 'place a hold' option. If you are not already logged in you will be asked for your username (library ticket number) and PIN.
Then select the library you to want to collect the item from e. g. Woolston or Warrington and then click the 'hold' button.
There is no charge to reserve books or multimedia items that are held as part of Warrington libraries' stock.
You will be notified when your reservation is available. This will be either by post or through an email if you have signed up to the free email service.
You can track the progress of your reservations online, by logging into your library account and selecting ‘my items on hold.’ When your item is ready for collection it will say ‘available’ under the availability column.
It is not always possible to reserve all areas of stock online e.g. reference items or local studies stock.
Please note our online library catalogue is not available from 3am-4.30am to allow for essential maintenance.
