The best way to avoid an accident off road or in one of Warrington's parks:
- always give way to walkers
- give adequate warning of your approach
- always ride in control
- watch out for changes in the terrain if there is no cycle path
- wear a helmet and light-coloured or fluorescent clothing
- be extra careful when approaching bends and path junctions
- ensure that your bike is safe to ride
- be aware of the weather conditions
- ensure you use front and rear lights in dusk/ darkness
- to avoid erosion keep to the trail.
