MOTORISTS, residents and businesses are advised that essential road works will be carried out on Park Road, Great Sankey next month.

Park Road from Barrow Hall Lane to Station Road and Station Road from Park Road to the railway bridge will be resurfaced and the work is due to start on 5 March for about five weeks.

To minimise inconvenience to residents and businesses the roads will be closed in phases between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The diversion route will be A57, Liverpool Road and Lingely Green Avenue.

A letter will be sent to residents and businesses adjacent to the area of the works, and information boards will be erected on site prior to the start date.

The council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.
