Did you know you can access the council via your iPhone or Android smartphone?

Information about where you live has never been easier to access thanks to the free app.

The interactive tool, launched in October 2011, reflects the most accessed areas of the council's website including news, events and jobs. You can also find out information about your local councillor and services and facilities in your local area by simply entering their postcode.

The new iPhone app is available to download for free from the App Store now and is compatible with iPhone 3 and 4, iPad and iTouch. The Android version is available free from the Android market place.

The Race Online initiative

The app was launched in connection with the council's Race Online pledge, aiming to help and support more people to access the internet.  Find out more here.

Online communications - social networking

Residents are increasingly using online methods, payments and systems to interact with the council, for example over 2500 people follow @WarringtonBC on twitter and around 1100 people regularly keep up-to-date with news via facebook. Find out more here.
