Under special circumstances you can apply to park on a parking restriction, in a Residents Parking Zone, on a Pay and Display Car Park or in limited waiting areas. There is a fee of £15 per vehicle per day. The special circumstances may include for example, moving house or vehicles associated with building works.

A Dispensation will only be issued if it does not cause traffic congestion or impinge on the safety and welfare of pedestrians. The need for the Dispensation will be assessed based on the details of the work being undertaken, the exact location and the dates and times when the waiver is required.

Please give as much notice as possible when applying for a Dispensation. Applications should preferably be received two weeks before the dispensation start date, and must be received a minimum of two working days before the dispensation start date.

Please be advised that a decision regarding the Dispensation will not be made immediately as the Application needs to be assessed. Not all Applications will be approved, Applications are considered on the location, the size of the highway, if there are Pay & Display Bays available and whether or not they would cause an inconvenience to other road users.
