Nurturing nature - see link below

Passionate about wildlife and nature, George Pilkington MSc. Cert.Ed, is an environmental educator and author.  With many years practical and educational experience in providing a wide range of environmental services from wildlife and nature walks and talks, wildlife gardening and organic vegetable growing courses and talks, practical advice and solutions to schools, colleges, individuals, groups, organisations and businesses.

Westbrook Old Hall Primary School in Warrington have written some songs about Fairtrade and climate.

Fiddler’s Ferry Power Station 

There is an Educational Resource Centre at the station to provide free energy and environmental education to local schools and other groups, specifically designed with key stages one and two in mind. Visit the Scottish Southern page - see link below.

Kingfisher Education Services - see link below

Kingfisher Education is located near Wigan its a centre built to offer courses for different key stages involving climate change and the water cycle. Some programmes are free, some may require payment

This is an interactive on-line resource designed to help schools become more sustainable. It provides teachers and students with a simple framework for learning about green issues, running green activities and sharing their work with others. There are excellent links to a huge range of sites and funding schemes.

Generation green - see link below

A site from British Gas, schools are encourage to undertake green activities which earn them green leaves which they can then exchange for awards such as educational kits and solar panels. There are lesson plans for teachers, games and activities for pupils and ways that friends and parents can also help the school gain leaves too.
