Local Development Scheme (LDS)
The LDS describes what the council is going to do to prepare new and revised planning policies over the next three years. The three year program includes "consultation milestones" to inform the public about opportunities to get involved with the plan-making process and to let them know the likely dates for involvement.
The main focus of the revised scheme is the preparation of the council's Core Strategy which will address the key issues facing the borough including those highlighted in the Sustainable Community Strategy.

Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)
This document is used to assess progress on the delivery of the LDS and to review policy effectiveness. It is also responsible for reporting upon a national set of performance and contextual indicators required by government. An AMR is produced and submitted to government office in December every year. Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)
Warrington Borough Council has approved the updated Statement of Community Involvement following the previously published document in March 2006. The SCI is to be updated as part of the changes in the regulations from the publication of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2009.
The Statement of Community Involvement sets the standards and approach that Warrington Borough Council takes to ensure that the people of Warrington know when, how and for what reason they will be able to participate in planning matters including planning applications and various consultations with regards to the Development Plan Documents.
